This is the newest set from Velvet. The original Compas 180's have a lower tension and are suitable for orchestral and solo tuning. This set is of a higher tension for orchestral tuning only.
Similar to the Compās 360Ū, but designed as a string for orchestral instruments only. All four strings are metal wound.
Compās is built around a core using natural fibres, and is distinctive in its extremely rapid response and perfect balance, in both pizzicato and bowing. It has depth, and thanks to the round string winding, offers an open harmonic range.
