Lemur Music's
Sunrise Basses
have become well known for their exceptionally good value. Lemur's trained
and experienced luthiers provide a professional grade, 12-hour setup for
every Sunrise Bass, making each one a custom double bass - a huge step up in
playability is assured for each bass player who owns a Sunrise Bass from Lemur
Music.
We import this bass with
many special features that clearly make it a cut above the rest: a good
quality ebony fingerboard, a fine-grained spruce top, a rich
dark finish, and German made tuning machines.
LAGUNA is our most popular
instrument. The back, sides, and neck are made from high quality flamed maple,
the top is select spruce, and the fingerboard as well as other trim
is made from ebony processed in Germany.
Lemur designed Laguna Bass
to be a professional looking instrument that is appropriate
for high school and college students as well as working musicians
needing a good bass at a great price.
The sound is something to
brag about too, with more sound in the low register than good laminated
basses, and a more sophisticated mid-range sound, characteristic of a
well-graduated spruce top. May be either gamba shaped or violin cornered.
Professional Quality Setup
is key to making each bass play easily and sound its best. Lemur Music's
painstaking setup requires 12 to 15 hours of undivided attention in our
dedicated workshop. There are also over $400 of parts replaced with top
quality stock. It is easy to see that bass setup requires a specialist like
Lemur Music, and that this work is conservatively valued at $700.Currently, all of this is included in the price of the instrument.
A soft, padded cover is also
included with each Laguna 3/4 Carved Bass. Bow, tax and delivery are
not included unless specifically quoted.
Please inquire about our door-to-door
shipping rates. We deliver to all 50 states, as well as selected
international destinations.
Photo and Setup Considerations:
It is our intention
to setup each instrument according to the wishes of the buyer. We offer a wide
range of string choices and we customize for action height, bridge adjusters,
and other features. Because each instrument is made of wood and finished by
hand, the wood color, finish, grain, knots and other characteristics can vary
from the picture. In order to achieve the best fit, parts selected for each
bass may also vary. We use high quality, durable parts on all our bass setups
- however the exact style, ornamentation, and appearance may vary. For example,
the exact style, ornamentation, and appearance of tuning machines may vary from
the picture. The same is true for the bridge, tailpiece and soundpost. Thank
you for your flexibility.
