Praise for Bass Tunes-
This is a wonderful collection. We have been using the "Tunes" at our annual Florida Bass Bash Gala Concerts for years, having students play them as duets, as well as larger ensembles-- even divided among 40 bassists. The Tunes always bring smiles to audiences, and the players really enjoy performing them.
At home, my eleven-year-old son, Sam, and I play them to help us both to listen and work on our ensemble playing. From "Ants!" to "Frankenstein," "Chaplain" to Barbershop Waltz,"--what's not to like?
-Kevin Casseday, Professor of Double Bass, University of Florida
**Recommended for performance as duets by the New York Music Educators National -Conference (NYMENC).
**It was with pleasure that I learned that Paul Ramsier, one of the most prolific composers of beautiful music for the double bass, had turned his attention to that great desert tract of bass repertoire: music for the young player.
