The Mittenwald bass, circa 1900,
is an old gamba shaped contrabass with a carved back, and with a D Extension.
Labels inside include "James Russaky" and "handarbeit aus Mittenwald."
Gene Englund of the Stan Kenton Orchestra owned this bass.
