Stick: Dark brown snakewood, octagon shape.
Frog: German style snakewood frog with mother of pearl slide.
Button: Tapered, round snakewood button.
Wrap: Brown lizard leather, somewhat worn, no tears.
Specs: 146 grams, 74 cm overall length.
Condition: This bow is in good working order, having been refurbished in Lemur Music Bow Shop with new unbleached white hair. The stick shows almost no wear beyond a few small scratches that are very minor.
Comment: Snakewood is very hard, fine, and dense. Many Snakewood bows are very heavy - 150+grams. Horst Schicker is able to pare down to the weight to the mid-140 grams. He makes a bow that is very articulate and tends to produce a dark, yet clear tone.
