H.R. Pfretzschner, over the past three generations, has contibuted greatly to the design of the German bass bow. The smoothly curved-back frog is their design and many makers now produce a "Pfretzschner Model." These bows are graceful and slender, undecorated, and made from outstanding pernambuco stock. A family secret recipe yields a beautiful purplish color. |
