This new FISHMAN PRO EQ preamp/EQ/DI offers bassists precise tone shaping and essential pro features, developed for both electric and upright bassists.
One of the key elements of the Platinum-Bass, is its ability to add warmth to a raw bass signal. The Platinum-Bass uses sweet sounding "J-fet" technology in conjunction with Fishman's exclusive "Voltage Doubler" allowing for greater dynamics and clarity. The preamp's five-band graphic equalizer has been carefully voiced to shape and sculpt many essential bass sounds, making the unit the most versatile performance piece. An innovative "bottom floor" (depth) control lets the player dial in tight and focused bass response while eliminating boomy resonance and handling noise.
The Platinum-Bass smoothes out hot spots with a bass friendly, photo-optic compressor, which performs without "pumping" or strangling high frequencies. This compact design offers XLR D.I. (features a pre/post and ground-lift switches), ¼" unbalanced and ¼" tuner outputs round out the package to give the bassist many setup options for gigging or recording.
